27 Colab Open Source

Small, tested reference implementations for the fiddly parts of building an assistant that talks, texts and emails. Read them, borrow from them, or use them as a starting point.

Six MIT-licensed TypeScript packages. Each one is a compact, dependency-light reference implementation of a handful of mechanisms that are easy to get subtly wrong, with tests that pin their behavior and an in-memory fake so you can run everything without accounts or keys.

They are not frameworks, hosted services or products, and none of them claims to be better than the established tools in its area. Several have well-known alternatives, and each package page says so.

  • Developers who are about to write the same plumbing (webhook signature checks, consent ledgers, token rotation, barge-in handling) and want a small, readable implementation to compare against.
  • People evaluating this work: every package is short enough to read in one sitting.
  • Teams that want a starting point they can fork, not a dependency they must trust blindly.

voice-engine

Turn-taking for a real-time phone agent: know what the caller actually heard when they interrupt.

Not for you if you want a full voice-agent platform. Vapi, Retell, LiveKit Agents and Pipecat exist.

sms-consent

STOP/START keyword handling, a consent state machine and a send guard that never reports a phantom send.

Not for you if you need legal assurance. It is not legal advice and makes no compliance guarantee.

instagram-dm

Webhook verification, event parsing, OAuth, a window-aware Send API client and a fake Graph API.

Not for you if you want a chatbot framework or an official Meta SDK.

email-kit

Safe transactional sending: retries, idempotency, suppression, EN/ES templates, an “email me this” helper.

Not for you if you need SMTP, MJML, queues or inbound parsing.

quickbooks-online-kit

QuickBooks Online OAuth with refresh-token rotation, a typed client for common operations, audit log.

Not for you if you need reports, batch, change data capture or the Payments API.

fl-parcel-lookup

Folio number and legal description from an address for Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

Not for you if you need a source of truth for legal filings, or any other county.

None of these packages ships a prompt, an account or a key. You supply the provider accounts (Twilio, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Anthropic, Meta, Intuit, Resend) and the agent logic. The packages handle the mechanics in between.
